REX Engineering Group

Steven is the President/CEO of REX Engineering Group. He coordinates and leads all activities within REX Engineering Group and its sister corporations. Steven has a passion for the business of the profession, and has a profound understanding of the financial, management, and process methodologies for firm and project success. Additionally, throughout his career Steven has gained experience in all major trades of the construction process. This combination of passion and experience has enabled Steven to make informed business decisions that achieve business health and growth, while also prioritizing a focus on maintaining satisfied clients and engaged employees.

Steven is a structural engineer, and is licensed in over 25 states. He has experience working with all structural materials and building types, and has performed a wide range of engineering services – new building design and renovations, connection engineering, and peer reviews and structural condition assessments. Prior to founding REX Engineering Group, Steven worked as a Structural Engineer with Johnson Wilbur Adams in Wheaton, IL. His responsibilities there included managing approximately 75% of all connection and miscellaneous steel design projects. He also was the project engineer for many full building structural design projects. In his time at Johnson Wilber Adams, Steven worked on over 650 different building projects.
